Each tube contains 20 Seedballs which will provide coverage for 1 square metre in a garden, or 3-5 medium sized pots. Each ball contains up to around 100 seeds. Best scattered in Spring or Autumn.
The balls are made with a mixture of UK native wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The clay protects the seeds from wildlife, and once water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside will germinate, helped along by nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder deters slugs and snails while the seed ball degrades and and the seeds sprout.
